Mike,

Thanks for doing as much as you can. We need to ask PAX about their
calendar of events so that is it doesn't interfere with the operations &
maintenance of our property.

Everyone- I will add everyone on this distribution list to Buildings and
Grounds email list. So when you want to contact everyone just send an
e-mail to the Buildings & Grounds email list bng at stlukemclean.org. Everyone
on the distribution list will receive a copy of the e-mail.

No need to remember everyone e-mail address. The list is one-stop-shopping.

Regards,

Mark

 Hey all,

I got the Field, Picnic Area, and the swale cut today.

Unfortunately, there was some sort of PAX event today that left there cars
scattered literally all over the property.

This kept me from cutting the "hump" area by the parking lot at the front of
the field and around the trees bordering the circle.

I did not feel like waiting around the 2 hours they said they would be there
just to finish up 10 mins of cutting.

Just wanted to let you guys know in case you wondered who did the crappy job
leaving all this uncut grass behind!!!

I wanted to pitch in today because I cannot make it Saturday because of
work.

  Mike

Hello Men,

The rain thwarted my completion efforts today on the lawn mowing. I
finished half...the area around the church building, the circle, side yard
on Douglas drive, around the outdoor bathrooms, and the areas seen from
G'town Pike. The center of the picnic grounds and the big fields still need
to be cut. It should take one man on the zero-turn about 90 minutes to
finish.

Going forward...we need to remove the sticks that were collected in the
picnic ground area. We also need to spray Round-Up around the entire
property. We don't have any "Round-Up" concentrate in the shed. We have
Spectricide Total Vegetation Killer. I usually only use that stuff on nasty
areas, but if you're careful it should be fine around the trees and such.
Of course, if you want to pick up a bottle of Round-Up concentrate... We
have a 4 gallon backpack style sprayer on the back shelf of the shed. It
works well, but a bit heavy at first. 4 gallons is enough for the whole
place. All the hedge beds, around the trees, street sign posts etc. is what
needs it. Anything you think will help with the mowing. Once we get that
done we can move on to raking and tilling the beds that need grass seed. If
we can get them seeded in the next two weeks, we have a fighting chance of
getting some new grass. I also want to plan to buy enough mulch to spruce
up the hedge beds in circle and around the property. Please pass on any
landscaping suggestions you may have.

Also, if you haven't already, please visit our web site ...
http://stlukemclean.org/ and subscribe to the Building and Grounds mailing
list. This should provide us with the best way to communicate amongst each
other for schedule and agenda. Please pass on any known conflicts in your
schedules for the next few weeks, or months if you know that far, so I'll be
able to make a schedule for us. Last year we had the best success when
everyone knew weeks in advance of their commitment for yard work.

Please "reply to all" to this message if you are available for any
length of time this Saturday to help out. I'll be out-of-town and will not
be there this weekend. Thanks in advance to all of you.

PS. The flooring contractors were about one-third complete with the new
floor when I was leaving today around 1pm. It looks great. I hope you all
will be pleased.

Jim
