Welcome to St. Luke !

We welcome you to St. Luke. Whether you are already Orthodox or are still looking for the right church for you and your family, we invite you to “come and see”. As an Orthodox church, our faith is that proclaimed by Christ and handed down through the Apostles and the fathers. As a parish, we are a welcoming community of various ethnic backgrounds and ages who come together as one in the love of Christ. We invite you to come worship with us and then join us in our ‘coffee hour’ to share fellowship together.

Nativity of Our Lord
Nativity of Our Lord
Nativity of Our Lord

Your Nativity, O Christ our God,

has shone to the world the Light of wisdom!

For by it, those who worshipped the stars,

were taught by a Star to adore You,

the Sun of Righteousness,

and to know You, the Orient from on High.

O Lord, glory to You!

W have a blessing to hold Nativity services in our hall, allowing for greater attendance -- up to 40 people or households, while still maintining social distancing and all other CoVID precautions (see below): The schedule for our Nativity services is:

7:30pm, Wed., Jan 6:  Burning of the Badnjak (Yule Log) followed by Christmas Vigil

10:30am, Thurs., Jan. 7:  Divine Liturgy for the Nativity of our Lord

If you would like to attend in person, and meet the CoVID precautions listed below, please email me at or you can celebrate with us virtually on our YouTube channel (St Luke Orthodox Church Mclean VA).

You are also invited to attend our Sunday Divine Liturgies at 10:30am every Sunday -- both live, in peron, or on our YouTube channel.  Again, you would like to attend in person please email me.  These services will be back in our chapel, so attendance will be limited to 15 people or households.

To attend services in-person, you must:

  • not have traveled or participated in gatherings of 10 or more people in the past 14 days
